What is Project Kiran?
"Kiran" means a ray of light. For 100 children in rural Maharashtra, that ray is the difference between walking into a classroom or walking away from their future forever.
Right now, across small towns and rural Maharashtra, children are dropping out of school — not because they lack intelligence or ambition, but because their families cannot afford the fees. A semester fee of INR 15,000 to INR 30,000 stands between a child and their education.
Project Kiran aims to change that for 100 children this year. We have identified students through our partner schools and hostels — children who are enrolled, verified, and ready to learn. All they need is someone to believe in them.
